TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF UNIVERSITY INFORMATION SYSTEMS

A series of announcements related to disruption of university’s database appliances and activation of ICT Disaster Recovery Plan are referred.

Please be informed that we are already at final stage in ICT Recovery Plan activity involving transferring data from Data Recovery Center (DRC) to Data Center, UTMJB.

All university information system will be temporarily closed starting on 12 am, 21st August 2018 to ensure this process running smoothly and successful.

If there is no issue arises, university database system and access to university information systems will be restored after 10.00 pm, 22nd August 2018.

All difficulties are deeply regretted.

ACCESS DISRUPTION TO UNIVERSITY DATABASE SYSTEMS

The previous disruption notice is referred.

Access disruption incident to university’s database system has exceeded 24 hours mark. Thus, CICT has activated ICT Disaster Recovery Plan. If there is no other issue arise, access to all affected systems will be restored as follows:

At the moment, university’s database system is not accesible due to technical failure. Recovery work is currently underway. CICT will share the progress of the work from time to time.

Status Langganan Produk Microsoft melalui Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM)

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa perkhidmatan produk Microsoft yang dilanggan oleh pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) telah tamat tempoh langganan pada 31 Julai 2018. Pada masa ini, pihak CICT masih menunggu pembaharuan langganan produk dilakukan oleh pihak KPM.

 Oleh itu, perkhidmatan Microsoft Office 365 dan emel Live akan terganggu/tergendala disebabkan berstatus “Expired” bermula daripada 1 Ogos 2018 sehingga 31 Ogos 2018. Selepas 1 September 2018, perkhidmatan ini akan berstatus “Disabled” disebabkan masalah “none compliance” dimana semua data akan terpadam (deleted). Sila rujuk rajah status di bawah.

Semua pengguna UTM adalah dinasihatkan membuat proses “back up” bagi data-data yang di simpan terutama pada One Drive Microsoft (Cloud Storage). Proses “Backup” data hendaklah dibuat dalam tempoh “Expired” bagi mengelakkan dari berlaku masalah kehilangan data dan dapat memuat naik kembali data ke atas talian apabila langganan perkhidmatan ini disambung semula.

Diharapkan semua pengguna dapat mengambil langkah berjaga-jaga bagi memastikan tiada masalah kehilangan data selepas dari tempoh yang dimaklumkan.
